Noir films are full of mystery, danger and characters saying bizarre things. Whether its an old school film noir or more modern neo-noir pastiche, that can go very well or very badly. So, in honor of Guillermo del Toro's noir Nightmare Alley coming out, we're doing a noir episode with returning guest Sara Sorrentino of Film Cred and Seequels! First, Billy Wilder turns an insurance agent into a villain secretly under the thumb of a clever femme fatale in Double Indemnity! Then, Warren Beatty adapts a 1930s comic strip noir into a primary color gangster picture with Dick Tracy! Together, our trio answers the crucial questions. What makes for a true noir? When is Warren Beatty finally going to sneeze? Which two films will they cover for next week's episode on musicians turned actors? Well, put on your yellow trench coat and light a match with your finger so you can tune in to find out!
